Ahmed Khan “Madhosh”

                                        Ahmed Khan “Madhosh”famous poet of sindhi language, was born on 5 april 1931 (1 st Ramzan 1356 Hijri)  at village Sultan Chandio near taluka Khairpur Nathan Shah, district Dadu.His father name was Haji khan .He was Soomro by caste.His family shifted in Johi during 1932. He was a well known and eminent poet of Sindh.He passed his final examnation from johi school and joined teaching profession.He did masters in Sindhi .He was fond of poetry and got training from Najaf Ali shah lakyari and Faiz Bakshapuri .He started writing poetry in 1960.His first poem appeared in Mehran, a popular magzine of that time .He passed examination of Adeeb & Fazil in 1965. He knew a little Persian language. He was a teacher by profession. He loved poetry since his childhood. AGHA SALEEM (Eminent Novelist and Literary Personality)

Agha Saleem, a renowned literary figure and famous novelist, was born in Shikarpur on 7 th April 1935.His real name is Agha Khalid saleem, son of Agha Abdul kareem khan. He got basic education in Shikarpur and lived in Hyderabad since 1948. Matriculated from Hyderabad , Intermediate from Lahore and B.A from University of Sindh . He worked at Radio Pakistan and retired as station director. He is known as an eminent story writer, novelist and dramatist of Sindhi language. His first story, Aah! Ai zalim samaj, published in 1952. ADAL SOOMRO (Distinguished poet and Prose writer)

Dr. Abdul Karim son of Muhammad Saleh Soomro was   an eminent poet and prose writer, born on 15 th August 1955 in Sukkur. His Literary name is Adal Soomro. He is literary person of modern age.He started his writing in 1971. Adal Soomro did his masters in economics in 1977 and masters in Sindhi literature where he secured first position with gold medal in 1979.For ten years he taught in various college. Later on he was appointed as lecturer of sindhi literature in sindhi department of shah latif university where he served as professor and chairman of sindhi deprtment.He has   remained incharge of sheikh ayaz chair of shah latif university. ABDUL QADIR JUNEJO (A Dramatist, Story writer and literary Figure)

Abdul Qadir Junejo was born in Village Jinhan, Taulka Mithi, District Tharparkar on 13 th September 1945 .   He is a great dramatist, story writer and a literary figure. He is B.A, B.Ed and M.A in Sociology from Sindh University . He began his professional career as a primary teacher in 1962 and secondary teacher in 1971. Finally, he was appointed at Institute of Sindhology on different posts. Among his works, dramas and stories are matchless. His first story muth muth sooran jee (1964) was published in “Rooh Rihan” magazine. He has written twenty dramas for television and thirty, for radio. His most famous drama Rani Jee Kahani was telecasted from PTV Karachi centre and was translated in English, Urdu and Chinese languages. ABDUL MAJEED SINDHI, SHAIKH (Eminent Writer, Scholar and a well known journalist)

Shaikh Abdul Majeed Sindhi was born on 7 th July 1889 in a Hindu family in Thatta. He was a famous writer, scholar, politician, journalist and a good person. Since childhood he was in the search of right that’s why on 10 th February 1908 he became a Muslim in front of Shaikh Abdul Rahim at Hyderabad . He matriculated from Thatta then became Munshi at a senior advocate Mr Deechand Ojha. Afterwards he lived at Hyderabad where Rais Ghulam Muhammad Bhurgari made him editor of his paper Al Ameen . Having been inspired from his intellect Bhurgari Sahab made him, his political advisor. He was an active participant of Reshmi Rumal Tahrik, by Molana Ubedullah Sindhi, in which he was imprisoned in 1919 for three years. Later, he addressed against the English in a procession in 1920 at Larkana and was again imprisoned for two years. In 1924 he became editor of Daily Al Waheed. ABDUL MAJEED SINDHI. MEMON (Prominent scholar, Intelluctual and Linguist)

Dr. Memon Abdul Majeed Sindhi was born on 1 st January 1930 in a village Mari near Shikarpur District. He has been a well prominent scholar, intellectual, critic and a linguist. He got early education at his village but due to flood the whole family migrated to Shikarpur where he was admitted in the Madarsa of Molvi Fazlullah. He learnt Arabic, Persian, Quran Nazra and Qirat. He completed middle from Shikarpur, Matric in 1952 from Larkana and Diploma in Civil Engineering from Sukkur in 1954. After that, he was appointed as a clerk in revenue department. Meanwhile he did B.A and transferred from Revenue Department to Water Management Department. Being in this department he made the most of the time and did M.A and LL.B. In 1963 he became lecturer in Islamia College Sukkur. ABDUL KAREEM BALOCH (Media Personality)

Abdul Karim Khan Rind Baloch was born on 5 th January 1938 in karachi ’s Baghdadi area but settled in Yosuf Balouch Village Kotri with his family. He is illustrious personality of Radio and Television. His father took part in First World War and married a Kurd girl from Baghdad . His academic career starts from Kotri where he did primary, Intermediate from Muslim Science College Hyderabad and B.A, M.A from University of Sindh . As he loved literature and art, he joined Radio Pakistan Hyderabad during his studentship. In 1965 he became producer of Radio Pakistan Hyderabad where he started new programs and introduced new artists on Radio. One of the famous characters Ghanwer Khan is still the part of memory on the hearts of people. In 1967, he became producer on PTV where he worked with same zeal and fervor.
