ABDUL HAFEEZ PIRZADA (Famous Politician and Lawyer)
Abdul
Hafeez Pirzada, son of Abdul sattar, former chief minister of sindh, was born
on 24th
February 1935 at Old Sukkur. He is an
illustrious politician and lawyer of Pakistan. He received primary education at Sukkur, B.A from D.J
Sindh college Karachi (1954), Bar at Law from Linloclns Inn United Kingdom
(1957). Having a degree of Barrister he practiced as a lawyer at Karachi. He also obtained Msc in political science and wrote
brief thesis on Soveit union and rise of communism.He is one of the 30 founders of Pakistan Peoples
Party in 1967 and was close to Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto.Previously he was member of
organizing committee of PPP and was legal expert of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and
assisted him in the constitution of 1973. later he became chairman of the party
Karachi Zone in 1970. He was elected as member National Assembly from Karachi in the elections of 1970. He became Minister of
Education and Minister of Information & Broadcasting. He supported
Z.A.Bhutto in the completion of Constitution of Pakistan 1973. Once again he
was elected as Member of National Assembly in 1977 from Karachi. He was a close associate and aid of former Prime
Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. In the Martial Law of General Zia he was banned from
politics for seven years in 1977. Bye the way he was released with the orders
of Sindh High Court in 1979. After that he remained out of country for some
time. He alongwith dr.Hassan and Bhutto was arrested by military police but was
released in 1978. He was also member of Mumtaz Ali Bhutto’s party. In 1989, he
joined PNP. Now a days he has put the politics a side and practicing as a
lawyer and has left the politics.
